How to download an Instagram reel
Open the reel in Instagram, tap the three dots and choose Copy link — or just copy the address from your browser’s bar. Paste it above and press the button. You’ll get the original file exactly as it was uploaded, at the resolution Instagram stored it, with nothing added on top.
Is it watermark-free?
Yes, because we don’t re-encode anything. Some downloaders stamp their own logo onto the video as it passes through their servers; we hand you the original file, so the only watermark is whatever the creator put there themselves. If a reel was cross-posted from TikTok it may carry TikTok’s watermark, and nothing can remove that — it is burned into the frames.
What this tool can’t do
Private accounts are private: if you can’t see the post while logged out, no tool can fetch it, and anything claiming otherwise is either lying or trying to get your password. Stories aren’t covered here either. Deleted posts are gone.
About the download links, honestly
The link you get points at Instagram’s own content servers, not ours. Two things follow from that, and we’d rather say them than let you find out. First, the links expire within a few hours — save the file rather than bookmarking it. Second, because your browser fetches the file directly, Instagram’s servers see that request. Our profile viewer proxies its images so browsing profiles stays private; large video is different, and pushing it through our servers would slow the site down for everyone including customers mid-checkout. We chose the honest trade rather than the one that reads better.
Please respect whose work it is
Downloading a reel for your own reference is one thing. Re-uploading someone else’s work as your own is a copyright problem and, frankly, a reputation one. If you’re resharing, credit the creator and ask when it matters.
