Instagram Follower Tracker
See how fast an Instagram account's followers are growing, where it is heading in 30, 90 and 365 days, and when it reaches its next milestone. Estimates from public follower counts. No login.
A username or a profile link both work.
How to track an account's follower growth
- Type the username. With or without the @. A profile link works too.
- Press Track growth. You get the follower count, the weekly pace and where it is heading.
- Check back next week. Every lookup is a reading, so the next visit shows the account's real trend.
Weekly follower change by account size
Median weekly change for 1,134 accounts we read every day on Top Charts, up to 2026-10-05. Bars show the median; the share that grew is on the right.
Only accounts above 100,000 followers are read daily, so smaller sizes aren't shown yet.
How the projection works
We draw a straight line through the account's readings from the last 30 days and extend it. With only a few days of readings the estimate is marked early. Without past readings we use the typical week for accounts the same size. Real growth comes in bursts, so read it as a direction, not a promise.
Where the readings come from
The public follower count on the profile, read when someone looks the account up here, plus a daily reading for the 2,000 most followed accounts. We keep the counts for 30 days. Nothing else about the account is stored.
What this tool can't do
- Who followed or unfollowed. Only the total count is public without a login.
- Past counts from before the first reading. Instagram doesn't publish follower history.
Frequently asked
How fast do Instagram followers grow?
For the accounts we track with over 100,000 followers, the typical week is close to flat: the median change is about -0.019% a week, and only 40% of accounts with 1M to 10M followers grew in a given week. Big accounts often shrink slightly as Instagram removes inactive accounts. Small accounts that post often can grow much faster in percentage terms.
How is the projection calculated?
We draw a straight line through this account's follower readings from the last 30 days and extend it 30, 90 and 365 days. With no earlier readings, we use the typical weekly change of accounts the same size. It assumes the recent pace carries on, so treat it as an estimate, not a promise.
How do I calculate follower growth rate?
Take the followers now minus the followers before, divide by the followers before and multiply by 100. Divide that by the number of weeks between the two counts to get a weekly growth rate.
Can I see an account's follower history?
For the 2,000 most followed accounts, yes: every daily reading is on Top Charts. For other accounts we keep the public counts from lookups on this site for 30 days, so checking again later shows a real trend.
Does the account know I checked?
No. Instagram doesn't notify anyone when their public numbers are read, and you don't log in here.
