How to view an Instagram profile
- Type the username in the box above. A profile link or an @ in front works too.
- Press View profile.
- You get their profile: picture, name, bio, posts, followers and following, plus the engagement rate.
Instagram live follower count
Once a profile loads, the follower number stays live: we re-check it every minute for the next 15 minutes. That's handy when someone is close to a round number or you're watching a giveaway land. After 15 minutes it stops, so press View profile again to restart it.
How many likes and comments do their posts get?
Each of the 12 latest posts shows the likes and comments on the thumbnail. If the owner hid like counts, Instagram hides them from us too, so that post shows comments only. The full list of who liked a post stays with the account owner.

Yes, for public accounts. The viewer shows their 12 latest posts with like counts, no login and no Instagram account needed. Tap a thumbnail to open the full post, or paste its link into the Instagram downloader to save the photo or video.
What you can see, and what you can't
Public account: picture, name, bio, the three counts, the 12 latest posts with likes and comments, and a follower number that updates every minute.
Private account: just the profile card. Posts aren't public, so there's nothing to fetch, and any site that says otherwise is lying or wants you to install something.
Is it anonymous, and what's a good engagement rate?
Yes, it's anonymous. Our servers fetch the public profile, so your browser never touches Instagram and the account is never told.
Engagement rate is likes plus comments per post as a share of followers, and it's much harder to fake than a follower count. The usual range drops as accounts grow. Per-post chart and sponsored-post estimate: profile analyzer.

Does the account know I viewed their profile?
No. Instagram doesn't notify anyone about profile views, and in this case your browser never contacts Instagram at all. Our servers do the fetching.
Can I see who viewed my Instagram profile?
No. Instagram shows you who watched your stories and lives, but never who looked at your profile. Apps that promise a list of profile visitors are guessing from likes and comments, or they want your login. Don't give them your password.
Do I need to log in?
No. There is no login on this page, and there never will be. A tool that reads public data has no reason to ask for your password.
Can I get this data in my own app?
Yes, through our Instagram API. It returns the same profile, posts and engagement numbers as JSON.
Can I see someone's Instagram posts without following them?
Yes, if the account is public. Public posts are visible to anyone, so the viewer shows the latest ones without a follow, a login or a notification. For a private account you only get the profile card.
Can I see an Instagram profile picture in full size?
Yes. After a lookup, the download button on the profile photo saves it at the largest size Instagram serves, much bigger than the small circle in the app.
Is there a viewer for private Instagram profiles?
No. A private account's posts are only visible to its approved followers, so any site that claims to show them is guessing or wants your login. For a private account you still get the profile card: photo, name, bio and counts.
Can I see their stories and highlights too?
Yes, for public accounts. Stories open in the story viewer and highlights in the highlight viewer. Neither needs an account, and the person isn't shown you in their story viewers list.
Why won't a profile load?
Usually the username is spelled wrong, the account was renamed or deleted, or it's private, in which case you only get the profile card. If you've used your 20 lookups for the day, it works again tomorrow.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. It's just a web page, so it works in Safari or Chrome on your phone and there's no app to install.
Is there a limit?
Yes, you get 20 lookups a day per connection. If someone looked up the same profile in the last five minutes, it loads from cache and doesn't count. Then it resets the next day.
